Our Cosmetology Program is your gateway to a Connecticut Cosmetology License. Our comprehensive curriculum covers everything from hair cutting and styling to skincare and makeup application. Students are required to complete 1,500 hours of training as designated by the Connecticut state law. Our course is a complete cosmetology program which include Sanitation and Hygiene, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemical Procedures, Hair Coloring and Lightening, Hair Shaping &Styling, Hair Care & Treatment, Properties and Disorders of the Hair and Scalp, Business and Professional Relations, State Laws for Hairdressers and EEOC Guidelines. Theory instructions are taught under the Milady Standard Professional Cosmetology textbook. This program prepares for the Ct. State exam. You will learn Cosmetology skills and state guidelines, expectations, and practical procedures to successfully pass the state board examination to become a professional licensed Cosmetologist.

Theory Portion

100% online. You MUST have access to a computer and the internet. Assignments are released on Mondays at 8:00 am and are due the following Sunday by 11:59pm. You may work at your own pace however, it is recommended to complete assignments Wed, Thurs, Fri. You must achieve a 75% on all quizzes & exams in order to proceed to the next assignment.

Hands-on Portion (In-Person)

Class is held at 190 State Street, New London, CT. on Mondays & Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and are in person

only. Students are required to have their complete student kits with them during each in-person class.
